Activity 1: Concept of early childhood and Early Childhood Development (ECD)

Divide the participants into 4-5 groups and assign each one a different question from below:

• Concept of the child in Pakistan's context.
• What are parental expectations of a child (0-8 years of age) in Pakistan?
• What should parents do to ensure that these expectations are met?

Ask the participants to write answers on a flip chart.

Each group should nominate one group member to present their responses to the question assigned to the group.

Discuss the points and highlight early childhood as an integrated concept and summarize.
