Activity 1: Understand the role of family and community in early socialization and child development

Ask the participants to draw a circle leading to family members according to the closeness to child and their roles in child care and development.
Discuss in the plenary about what is meant by 'family', the different types of families in Pakistan/province context and ask them to describe what they think could be the advantages and disadvantages of each family pattern.
Ask them to describe the existing child rearing practices in families.
