Activity 1: Understand the role of family and community in early socialization and child development
- Ask the participants to draw a circle leading to family members according to the closeness to child and their roles in child care and development.
- Discuss in the plenary about what is meant by 'family', the different types of families in Pakistan/province context and ask them to describe what they think could be the advantages and disadvantages of each family pattern.
- Ask them to describe the existing child rearing practices in families.
