Take appropriate actions to prevent and manage child's injuries and accidents.

- Ask the mother what kind of injuries are common amongst children in her view.
- Ask her what measures are taken in the village/locality to prevent injuries and protect children.
- Appreciate if family is taking care of preventing injuries among children
- Brainstorm to find out why children get injured. For example, could it be carelessness from parents and families, no supervision, there are domestic animals around etc
- Give tips on preventing injuries at home.
- Talk about the families’ roles in keeping children protected from injuries.

- Watch over children carefully to make sure that they are safe at all times.
- Ensure safe and healthy environment - keep children away from rivers, sea, fire or electric sockets in the house.
- Keep a first-aid box at home and be updated from time to time.
- Consult a doctor immediately if the child is injured.
